How are your chicks doing ?

@gander007 the oldest chicks are 9.5 weeks old and are getting very big. The other chicks are 3 weeks old and are still pretty small. Both momma's are still taking care of their chicks, the older chicks are now roosting on the roosting bar at night. Neither Hen has returned to laying eggs yet, but I'm hoping the Black Penedesenca hen will start soon.
I'm glad to see that your egg count went up slightly, although, with having gotten none the day before, maybe it hasn't really gone up yet.

I don't remember, do you use artificial lighting?

I got 8 eggs today.

9 of 11 today. Part of my wishes my other 3 would start molting or at least that the 2 would finish. Mildred is taking her sweet time bare necked and bare chested like she got half way there and gave up, she needs to stop laying and get her feathers she's still giving me 2-3 in a row. Betty looks like she got into a bad fight with a blow dryer but at least her bare spots are filling back in. The other 3 though there are extra feathers everywhere aren't looking ratty yet at all. Maybe this cold snap will change things but I'm hearing is going to warm back up soon. Good news though I finally got the trash to the street on time for pick up after missing 3 weeks in a row, had to get smart and put it out the night before. Usually hubby takes care of it before he leaves for work but after 8 years living here suddenly the truck is running about a hour earlier then it use to.

Hey guys. No eggs from any of my birds in over a month

I WANT EGGS!!!!! What's wrong with these crazy birds?! Some of my young hens have started getting signs of POL so hopefully soon.

Got 6 eggs today that's the most for us & got 2 new surprises today. 2 of the 3 EE decided to lay eggs today--on the coop floor. Wahoo so exciting.

AmandaMBG, Spartan22, You folks are making me jelus, with them blue, green and olive eggs. I want some. I guess next March, I may have to get some Easter eggers, "NO" don't let temptation get the best of me. Be Strong. I can hold out, yes I can. GC
