How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4/9 again.
Went out at dinner time to check and there was a WARM speckled egg. UGH! I missed who did it by a minutes. And, no terra cotta egg today. So still unsure if Welsummer is laying sometimes plain and sometimes speckled or if a different hen altogether. And then which one would it be?!?!
It's driving me nuts!!

Well, We got 5 today from our 6 laying age hens. Or maybe not. We have 11 pullets at 7+ weeks, but surely not able to lay yet.
The reason I say it this way is that we got a surprise today in the next box. The upper 4 are our 'Regular' hens eggs, and if you count that two of the 6 older hens are caring for the little ones still, that makes 4 for 4. Not sure if this is a "back to work" starter egg from a hen that hasn't been laying for a while, or one of the morning doves that like to wriggle through the aviary netting looking for a free meal. Though it is probably from the latter, it was an interesting find today.

10 egg total, 1st australorp egg crack in it (2nd day in a row) I think it's either cause she's not getting the oyster shell or another one is coming in nesting box so it gets crack. It's not bad, just a poke.

If the poke is on the pointy end, it could be not enough straw in the nest box. I was getting a tiny hole on the pointy end of the egg when they started laying, because I didn't have enough straw in the boxes. The pointy end hits the floor of the nest when it pops out. GC

Up from the past couple days. The med brown egg is usually a dark caramel color but she hadn't laid for several days after getting a comb injury. The small tinted I'm guessing could be my Dutch bantam's first egg.
