How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Chicken eggs 2

Duck eggs 1

Goose eggs 1

Temp low 60's slight breeze all day with cloudy skys and by this evening the ground was wet and something wet was coming from out of the air strangest thing I have seen in a year but not so much as that I could get out of watering the pomegranate bushes but the web footed birds are really enjoying it .

@karenerwin I just let her go as she could be doing worse and I am learning what pats of the fence I need to fix to keep people out and I find it funny for a woman of her age to be getting over a 6' fence or crawling under it and she is rather pleasant when I catch her in the yard .

I had 9 today... and I caught my mystery blue egg-layer. It's Buttercup, my Crested Cream Legbar. Her sister, Bubbles, was also going in and out of the nesting boxes and even laid down in one. I won't be surprised to have even more blue eggs soon. Their sister, Blossom, also looks ready. And yes, they're named after the Power Puff Girls. I have 3 boys and was super excited when they picked these names after discussing Yoda, Anakin, etc. LOL.

Saturday

4 chicken eggs

Temp dropped to mid 60's with cloud cover and high winds all day ..

@karenerwin
I have a good idea about my egg snatcher she is about 5' 7" tall and about 160 pounds and lives just down the road and graying blond hair and in her mid 50's or so and spends a few week out of every year in the loony pen .

Well...I don't want to come off the wrong way...but...there ARE a couple of things to consider.

First off...you don't KNOW that's where the eggs are going.

Secondly, maybe in her head she's gathering eggs her mama has sent to out to get.

Another thing to consider: maybe she really needs those eggs. If she knocked on the door and asked...what would you do? I know...it's frustrating, aggrivating, and downright disrespectful when people take YOUR property!

And I have no idea whether any of this applies or not...but..at the end of the day...you should step back and at least consider this...and remember...they are just a few chicken eggs after all.

10 total for today.
400

I wonder what she would do if you offered her some eggs? Does she acknowledge that she is taking them? or do you not address it? I chuckled when I read the part about you learning what parts of the fence need to be fixed!

I agree it is pretty funny to picture someone in there 50's climbing the 6' fence or crawling under it. It's a wonder she doesn't crush the eggs in her pocket!

I agree with you completely, there are a lot of things we don't know about the situation. However, I also don't know how much or little the owner needs the eggs either. I just don't think someone should be helping themselves to someone else's property. As you can see by Gander's reply above yours, he's not too upset by the whole thing and it's his eggs that are being taken! So if he's fine with it, then so am I.

As he stated, she could be doing a lot worse!
