Yes I found it in the nest box under 4 inches of straw, half way down on the left side, a chicken buried it. First time that happened. I found them on the coop floor a couple of times. GC

20 chicken eggs yesterday and one quail

21 chicken eggs today and 1 quail egg.

14 Eggs today, and its quite breezy @lower 20s. All eggs were buried under nesting materials in different nests. Are they trying to protect them from freezing?

13 yesterday, i set 8 marans free and the other girls though a little huffy seem to be accepting them. The marans should start laying in a few weeks.
