How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

3/5 today. I collected the eggs, and then I let the three 5 week old chicks saved from my NY Day hatch loose with the hens.

15/15 laying today. I've got one broody sitting on a dozen so she isn't laying for a while.

It seems to me I read somewhere about breaking the eggs into ice cube trays and freezing them that way. I'll see if I can find where I saw that.

That's what we did for couple of months until our friends found out we have chickens

and fresh eggs. Now we barely have the eggs hit the bottom of the nest friends grab them and pay w/ Venmo right away. 11 Eggs today.

Yup have one gal gets 5 dozen every other week, neighbors get 18 once a week

@AlleysChicks -The website said to lightly spray the plastic ice cube tray with olive oil, crack an egg into each cube, poke a tiny hole in yolk using a toothpick, sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on top to preserve egg texture, let freeze, pop and and store in freezer bags. I think it said they will last a year. If i find the website i will post it
