Temps windy over 15 MPH all day but right now it is after 3 in the morning and now that the wind has stopped I had to open the front and back door to cool of the house as the heat just made it uncomfortable to sleep any longer .

Temp 55F now. Tomorrow 29F and 6 to 12 inches of snow, with isolated 16" possible. Lows near zero Fri morning, ouch. Wacked out weather here again.

I get a dozen eggs from 14 hens daily....all through winter. I'm a newbie this year and was told they "lay off" without supplemental light and heat...I guess my girls never got the memo..lol I have had to figure out brand new ways to use em up....hubby happy with the extra cooking and baking though

Hi Gander, Hopefully you were able to get it cooled off enough to get some sleep! Dad is still in the hospital and probably will be through Friday at least. He is very confused & agitated so I will be staying up there with him tomorrow.
11 eggs today, 1 was crushed/eaten in the nest box.
