I am so close to the egg rainbow! I got 2 brown eggs, 1 white, 1 blue, and 1 green. All I need is a deep brown and an olive

I've also seen pink eggs and a sort of lavender egg, so you have to find those breeds too!

So sorry to read about you having to process one of your hens but an egg eater the messes up the nest really needs to go as these habits can be passed on to others .

Chicken eggs 5 with three of the eggs being set aside for the incubator

I do believe some light fingers got my barn eggs today as all the nest were empty in all three rooms and none of the out side nest were bothered .

Temp today high 60's even with snow on the Panament Mountains to the east . I went out taking photos of some areas I am thinking about working before the summer sets in but I know I would like to go out to the Ashford mines before summer time even if family members sold it off and BLM now owns the area as I would like to show the area to my son Ben and maybe out to the Taylor mine that was in my Grandmothers family back in the late 1800 and worked till the early 1900;s . Or before everything turns brown, funny we now have received just over 2 inches of rain for this winter

I am going to set up the trail cam in the coop to see who is the real egg eater since the one I thought was doing it turned out to be "not guilty". I think I will still butcher her though because she poops in the nest boxes daily and wants to sleep in there at night. I toss her out of the nest boxes every night but she doesn't seem to get the hint!!

Gander, if you get some good pictures, you should share them on here. What breed of eggs are you saving for the incubator?

13 eggs today ( 2 were eaten, 1 from 2 different coops. I think 1 had just broken though instead of being intentionally eaten).

rake I use to equalizer between me and Blue my cockerel real low number of 9

Chicken eggs 6 and one was set aside for the incubator

One of the Easter Egger hens is building up a nest to start all over again and she is no longer letting her last summers baby bed down near her, funny girls .
