How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

felt compelled to post, because 12 eggs out of 16 layers yesterday!!
They are just gorgeous!!!! Really lovely colour mix!
Had a little surprise, my July born faverolle laid this morning.
Awwww bless her - looking at that egg has confirmed my suspisions that it is my Faverolle that has started laying too!
Just 4 here at the moment
silky guess two are broody again
Broody's so dont' help the count! Are you giving them eggs to sit on Penny?
I agree with the daylight slightly getting longer, it seems like my layers are starting to add more everyday even without supplement lighting. 17 Eggs Today:thumbsup
Good day! Nice to see you Kris - you've been quiet!
8 eggs today
Nice!

DW and I are in New Brunswick, CA having dropped DD1 off at university yesterday.
CA = California???? how long a drive is that (I so geographically challenged with the USA!!)
My little blue fluffy butt laid her first egg yesterday!
Awwwww gorgeous!
Congrats on your BYC Friend Badge @PouleChick :D

@PouleChick Congratulations on your friend award!!Couldn't have been awarded to a nicer person. :celebrate

@PouleChick hey got your friend badge so good to hear you deserve it
Thank you so much Bruce, Karen and Penny - I was so shocked when I turned on the computer just now and saw it - not been around that long so didn't see that one coming at all! Stupidly pleased :wee:ya:wee:ya:lol:

3 today and another new layer :wee:ya:weeWhat do you guys think though - I originally thought it must be my Marans but actually if it is I'm a bit gutted as it doesn't seem very dark :hit:hit:hitThe paler is from another new layer (I'm thinking my Faverolles) and the other from one of my hybrid layers:

Was it someone on this thread that suggested putting a little piece of wood to stop my plastic tub I have as a nesting box (at the moment) from tipping? If it was thank you - I've done it and it is fabulous and works really well!

It even twists up to make it easy! Double bonus was a pre drilled piece from the Ikea futons that the rest of the coop is made of :lau

Just to say this is going to be changed in the next (soon as possible!) and I'm going to build a hanging nest box to make 2 boxes and free up the room in the coop - haven't needed it until now as have only had 3 girls laying. The lighter egg layer has found a corner of the coop and keeps laying there which is driving me nuts - how do I get her to use the nesting boxes (not going to worry now as it is going to be changed so soon)?

Tsk tsk Poule! As a British subject, I would think you would be aware that New Brunswick is a province in CANADA!! :p
And the one way drive is about 580 miles or 932 km. About 10.5 hours not including stops. We stopped in Augusta, Maine, USA ;) (capital of the state) on the way to Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada where the school is located. We had dinner with a BYC friend in Augusta Thursday night. Stopped in Bangor, Maine on the way back last night. We were supposed to have dinner with a BYC friend in Bangor but she was sick.
