How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Our hatchery Faverolles and your French Faverolles may not have a lot in common other than the name and general appearance.
That is a fair point! I'll keep my eye on what she is doing! I think her eggs are paler than all my others.
Don't write off your large eggs until you don't get any. In my experience it takes a couple of months for a pullet to get to a "regular" size egg and maybe won't hit their "usual" size until they are close to a year old.
Didn't realise it can take that long!
Oh my. Yes you clearly need a nice basket to carry the eggs in from now on! Try to remember to take it back down to the coop.
Got hte baskets just havent' needed to take them with me yet!
one triple yolker that weighed in @ 109.82 grams!!
Wow that is huge - that is pretty much the same weight as my biggest (I think I had a 113gm once nad a couple of 109's).
I had so many yesterday - I think it was 8 but a bit confused as 3 of them were Marans and I only have 2 marans hens
Look at the amazing colour of this one!!

So far 24 eggs today normally get another 10 or 12 between now and 4:30pm. I have been getting 32 to 38 per day for a couple weeks now the Black Copper Marans are slowly starting to make a better showing.

welcome to the coop we get to brag about our eggs no one rolls their eyes at us :lau
