Didn't realise it can take that long!Don't write off your large eggs until you don't get any. In my experience it takes a couple of months for a pullet to get to a "regular" size egg and maybe won't hit their "usual" size until they are close to a year old.
Got hte baskets just havent' needed to take them with me yet!Oh my. Yes you clearly need a nice basket to carry the eggs in from now on! Try to remember to take it back down to the coop.
Wow that is huge - that is pretty much the same weight as my biggest (I think I had a 113gm once nad a couple of 109's).one triple yolker that weighed in @ 109.82 grams!!

Ooohhhh Bruce - that was your 10,000th post - go you!Actually, since there are 5 hens hatched in 2015 and 5 hatched in 2018, I'd say the 2015's did pretty well yesterday.
So far 24 eggs today normally get another 10 or 12 between now and 4:30pm. I have been getting 32 to 38 per day for a couple weeks now the Black Copper Marans are slowly starting to make a better showing.
