How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

1 :hitseriously now getting worried something isn't right iwth them - 2 weeks ago I was getting up to 6 or 7 :eek:The araucana has totally stopped laying - don't think I've had a blue egg for 2 weeks. She had stopped just after she started for the 'winter' but then started back up last month and laid for 2 weeks or so and stopped again :confused::confused:i've checked some of my hens for mites as was worried as saw some black spots on thier combs(onl closer inspection I think it is scabs - the roos have quite a lot but I noticed it the day after they were fighting and there was a bit of blood) but nothing on thier skin at all. I haven't seen any signs of egg eating (when there has been a breakage or something and they've eaten them you can always see some sort of evidence). We have had gorgeous sunny, warm, blue skyed days and the days are much longer - I'm not locking up until going on for 7pm. Ideas on a postcard please!
Do you have sneaky egg eating predators?

Only 3 in the main coop but they are mad I was not their earlier went shopping did get home before dark put things away and went cleaned their coop

My Easter Egger Henneth Fowltrow hasn't laid a beautiful green egg since Labor day. Should I be concerned?
How old is she? Are her comb and face getting red? Other than not laying is she acting normal? I wouldn't be too concerned yet, some birds just are NOT winter layers. The EL that laid today last laid 9/19 and her "sister", who has yet to lay, last laid on 9/9. I get the impression that Exchequer Leghorns aren't the egg machines that the whites are supposed to be. I didn't get whites because I have 2 White Rocks, like to have a large variety of colors "on the hoof" and in the egg carton.

Have you considered Blue Andalusians for white eggs?
Mine laid just as well if not better than my leghorns. Not as big of eggs but lots of them. They were still large eggs, just not Jumbo.

They can grow large combs so there is that worry.
Mine had no issue with our Colorado winters. We get well below zero here. While I had mine we got -16 with that entire week barely hitting single digit highs.

Hamburg have small combs and laid very well for me. The eggs are a true medium though.

I got 3 from 6. Lately it's 3 or 4. That seems pretty normal for now. But I have one concern. My Easter Egger Henneth Fowltrow hasn't laid a beautiful green egg since Labor day. Should I be concerned?

How old is ms fowltrow? My Araucanas and my EEs are 3 and 2 yrs old. All quit laying in the fall, just over a week ago I started seeing 3 different shades of blue and green eggs, just not totally sure which ones laying among those 6 hens.
