I think at least one lot did. I had 3 hatches, the early May Araucana started laying 05 October then stopped over winter for a couple of months! The 2nd lot were 31 May and then the Marans and Vorewerks were born 21 June.

Yep my Marans have been laying since January I think (I think around the same time as yours maybe?) and yes they certainly are a French breed . It is some of the others that can't have started as I'm only getting a max of 8 eggs from 14 (oops make that 13 just recounted - I must have forgotten to take off the Australorp we lost) hens / pullets. I'm pretty sure the Faverolles is laying, not sure about the 2 Orpington ( end of May hatch -I have read they can come late to the party though) or the 2 Vorwerks (end of June hatch).

Yep my Marans and OEs were hatched late July- im not sure am familiar with Vorewerks- sounds Dutch. Speaking of Australorps, I still have a few of 4 yr olds along with EEs and my original FBCMs and the blue Marans, not sure if they’re even laying anymore.

28 Eggs Today, with 4 different hues of green & blue eggs from EEs and ice cream bar, that took it to almost perfect count from all active layers.

@karenerwin we finally got that snow few days late and much tone down to 1.5” instead of 4”. @penny1960 update us if that trail cam is any good when it arrive.

Well locked the lower gate @Spartan22 got 9 today main coop 2 in silky, know half my eggs where lifted cam will be here tomorrow but not unlocking the gate unless we want to use it

You may not find your 2 legged thief on the wildlife camera since the gate is locked. He/she likely won't come by now that they know they can't get past the lock.

no one can steal eggs

Do you think it is that the same 'neighbour' you had concerns doing the same thing a while back? @penny1960 or am I mixing up with someone else?

8 today including one of the silkies who has started laying again today, so no doubt she'll lay for 2 weeks then go broody!

4 girls took the day off, so I got 5.

About 6 dozen in the last 4 days!However about 10 were cracked.Don’t know what’s happening! But I’ve also got some green eggs from my new EE pullet! I’m so excited!!!!
