How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

45 Eggs Today - and Poison Ivy all over my arms, anyone have good remedy?
A light bleach water helps to dry it out. Not sure how good it is for you though! I also use calamine or calydryl lotion to help combat the itching.
In the future, if you know you have been near poison ivy, wash using COLD water and Dawn dish soap. The cold water shrinks your pores (which helps prevent the oils from absorbing into your skin) the Dawn cuts through the oils (which is what we react to).
I've read that you only have 20 minutes from exposure to being able to wash it off without getting a rash!! My problem is that I am usually outside WAY LONGER than 20 minutes at a time.
Also, the roots are supposed to be more potent (urushiol or the oil is). Sometimes you need a prescription for a steroid or steroid ointment.
Good luck!
Only 9 eggs for me today. I have another hen that may be going broody. This would be her first time if she is. She was still on the nest this evening when I locked everyone up. We'll see what she is doing tomorrow.
I was going to put the shipped Marans eggs under the other broody hen ( Barred Rock) but she was chortling to the eggs she was on ( 5 of them). So now I'm concerned that they are farther along than what I thought (2 weeks). So I left her and those eggs alone.
I put all the shipped eggs (and some of my eggs) in the incubator. Set 21 eggs.

Thanks Karen & @penny1960, that surely will help. I didn’t know we had some poison Ivy close by since I didn’t really see any leaves that look like them. I think I was exposed to the ivy roots Sunday aft when I dug up a dozen dead hedges that was killed by storm last year and planted new ones. I was pulling weeds around them, blisters didn’t showed up till Thursday morning.
I thought I was having some reaction to latex dog toy my kids and I were playing with few hours earlier until a friend familiar with poison Ivy reactions pointed out Ivy exposure and sure enough it was, itch misery kept me awake all night.

44 Eggs Yesterday.

I had it all over my legs but was under 10 nothing stopped me back then
gee have not changed much morning everyone hope you have great egg finds today

18 eggs for me today, but some of them were laid yesterday. The young hen that was in that nest last night was not there today. I am still very allergic to poison ivy. Have been all my life. I can remember walking through the woods in the winter with snow on the ground and getting poison ivy!! My eyes used to swell shut and I would often have to get steroid shots. I still get poison ivy multiple times a year but I don't get it quite as badly as I used to. Last year I had a bad case that just wouldn't stop itching! @Spartan22 I hope yours clears up quickly!!
