13 yesterday. One was so big (probably double yolker) I couldn’t get it into the extra large egg carton. It’s from Emmy, my sapphire gem.

Sitter is on duty for next 3 weeks so I won’t be posting until I get home.

Have a safe trip! I also have 2 sapphire gem hens and I have 1 hen in that coop who always lays a huge egg. It's too big to fit in the Jumbo egg cartons. I wonder if it is one of the sapphire gems?

Forgot to add that I got 8 eggs again today. I did grab the young Barred Rock cockerel off the roost tonight and stuck him in a bachelor pad ( by himself at the moment). So, hopefully, things will be quieter/calmer tomorrow because he won't be trying to make it with all the girls and upsetting the 2 older roosters!

I got one Faverolles egg today. One Welsummer pullet egg yesterday.

9 eggs today. This morning I got the 2nd cockerel to walk into the bachelor coop all on his own! He apparently spent the night outside (which explains why I couldn't find him in the coop last night when I was trying to band all the older pullets).
I finally got all the peaches canned! Made peach Jalapeno salsa today as well as a peach cobbler. The remaining peaches ( 10 of them) are not all the way ripe yet ( I picked them on Saturday and was having a hard time finding any that were juicy ripe) will go to my Mother. She asked me to get her some more when I went to pick apples. The chickens will probably be glad to get something other than peach skins and bruised parts to eat out of the compost pile!! Next is apples. But I did not pick anywhere near the amount that I did peaches. The Honey crisp apples are just too expensive!
