24 today. 19 yesterday. The daughter didn’t report last night after she found a couple chickens bloodied. They’re alive and separated from the flock. Have a sneaky suspicion it’s the Turkey hens

Just one yesterday but today looks like a better day. They were lining up for the best nesting box when I was cleaning this morning so here is hoping!

4 for 4 today again. Funny, big red was on the laying bed, taking her sweet time. I decided to give the other 3 a snack, she must have seen through the window because they started gobbling the treat out of my hand and all of the sudden I hear BawwWWWWWkkk and about 10 seconds later, blump, as she jumps down, and comes running out and pushes them out of the way to get the snack in my hand!! I go look in there and yep there's the 4th egg, and it's still kind of wet. Good thing the nesting box is enclosed or she might have shot that thing across the yard to get it out and to her snack!! She's a pushy brat but in some ways, it's so funny when she does things like that.
