How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I tried something recently just to see if my hens were carrying their feed cost. I have 7 heavy breed hens and 1 bantam rooster, 1 of the hens has not laid an egg since early last fall so I have 6 hens that are laying. I started a new sack of feed on 03-09 Purina Flock Raiser Pellets, cost was $25.10 I started this last sack on o4-16 I have got a total of 202 eggs from 6 hens on that sack of feed. That is 16.8 dozen, Down here yard eggs are going for $4.00 a dozen. I never have sold any, but I think they did pretty good : )
