1 from poor sick mumma, 6wks in, still got pneumonia but slowly getting better. Thank gawd for antibacterial herbs & spices.
6 of her 7 daughters, although ones just laid hers a few mins ago, it's 6.21pm, dark, freezing already so I'm not opening their hut to collect it.. she's getting later and later. Damn neighbour doesn't help, every time the girls are trying to lay, he sets my dogs off. He should know better cos the 2 old girls used to belong to him.

Not getting to the market for 4 wks, there's 16 doz eggs in the fridge... I need to find some easy recipes

16 dozens? Where do you sell them? To the farmer's market? How hard is it to get a little booth at the farmer's market for my kids to sell eggs??

How many chickens do you have? We are blessed with 12. Actually the same 12 we came home with in April of 2023. They bring so much joy and amazing eggs to our home. We share the eggs with family and friends. This is Ms. Prissy. She tried to dust bathe after we got some rain. Didn’t help too much!

5 today, although I think one may have laid an egg in the woods while we were cleaning out their run. She was singing her egg song, but I couldn’t see an egg.

I bought them as chicks, end of March 2023. I had 8 but one died last November, day after Thanksgiving. I've eaten a lot of eggs, given some away and sell a few dozen now and then.

I got four chicken eggs(one potentially fertile) and one duck egg from six chickens and five ducks. Four of the ducks are still too young to lay eggs so no disappointment there. We also had so many duck eggs today I made a batch of deviled duck eggs.
