18 today from our 22 BSL's. Nice day today. It was so nice that I went outside and planted three new pecan trees today. We have perking problems with our soil so I had to make the holes enormous for them. I dug them out at about 3' wide and down to 42". Hard work but it felt good. But now my back is aching so I've got to take some Tylenol and get on to bed. Gotta work tomorrow at making a living...

Well yesterday we broke our record with 52 eggs and today we did 45 very nice the girls are starting to pick up again. woot

7/11. A couple of them are pullet eggs so things should be getting better

16 eggs out of way too many hens…..but we caused a little chaos this weekend, so I'm not surprised.

Four from fourteen.  I feed 2 cups of Purina 16% "Fresh Recipe" layer pellets and a hand full of corn.

you need to allow them to eat all they want in a feeder, there starving with this little amount and they will become sick from no food. Chickens are free feeders, they eat all through out the day. We have 8 girls, we fill 2 feeders we hang and fill one with organic feed all grains not processed, the other with crumble. They munch on these and about every three days we refill. We also treat with black oil seeds, veggies and meal worms ( dried) chickens need good food and plenty to give you the eggs you desire
