Well, was only 2 for 3 yesterday.

But it was a very hot day, temp got to 101+ .

I have 8 hens, only 5 laying so far and they are the same age. This is my first time for chickens and they are sure fun to watch.

It's been dark and stormy for days here... the girls have been sleeping in and putting themselves to bed early, which has thrown them off their rhythm. So... the beginnings and ends of each laying block are a bit sketchy to predict this week.

Especially Kaylee's and Yolanda's, what with their extra days off and all. They are both about as impressed with our wintery spring as my baby tomato plants are. And we've got more sub freezing morning lows showing up in the forecast for the next couple of weeks still... Boo!

More hot weather, at least 97 today.

But the girls rallied and laid 3 for 3 anyway.

Austra was the last to lay hers.
