i got 10 and 6 were new pullet eggs, they started laying this week. can't wait til the other 10 start.

I get 9-11 egs from 15 hens. It's the EE's not doing their job too cold maybe.. 5 EE only 2 colored eggs..

this is the most I've gotten in one day in WEEKS!

I had been averaging 0-1 for several weeks and recently it's increased to 1-2 but the last few days, every time I went out, there was one eaten!

So I took a BYC suggestion and put a wooden egg in each nest box (I have 5) and today I had one in one box, one in another, and 3 in another! Is is just a coincidence and they are starting to lay again or did the wooden eggs have something to do with the egg laying stimulus?

My girls are doing well, despite the very cold VT temps. I have 28 layers and get 18-20 eggs a day. We are happy with the numbers.

15 eggs from 16 girls.........We usually get 12 - 14 and we give eggs away all the time. I take them to my son's school and give them to the teachers. They love it..... We really love to share our ladies hard work......
