Who's ready for Easter? My daughter (7) said that she knew why the hens slowed down during the winter... They were giving the eggs to the Easter Bunny for Sunday...

Not sure how but 9 eggs from 8 chickens...and got 8 / 8 yesterday so someone laid 2 today
It sure is....I had it happen with Agatha, my Easter Egger. She laid the first one early in the morning while I was out cleaning the poop board. I took that egg right out of the nest, still warm and damp from the bloom. That evening I went out to lock up and saw Agatha in the same nest. I remember thinking that I hoped she wasn't deciding to sleep in there, and just as I went to get her off she stood, "assumed the position" and gave me a lovely blue egg, again still warm and damp. Floored me! First time I'd seen it happen, and it hasn't happened again, but I literally watched her lay both. And there's no mistaking Agatha, so I didn't confuse her with another chicken. She's the only gold and white chicken I have. That possible? Thought takes them 25 hours to manufacture an egg?
6/10 + Scout and the Littles. I think the girls are mad at me. <sigh> Oh, and Scout crowed today. His feet might not work but there's nothing wrong with his crower - I just need to find the volume button!
