How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

8 eggs today. Getting ready to water test the eggs that haven't hatched yet (5). Day 24 just started.

Well, not a wiggle was seen... eggs were mostly submerged with just a portion above the water. 1 egg flipped onto it's side immediately. I'm guessing the airsack was on the side instead of at the top. Here's to hoping that the 3 that did hatch are girls.

Only 3 out of 8 : (
I had a real hard time keeping the temps stable. No real spikes just a lot more variation in temps than I usually get.
There are/were Black Penedesenca eggs.

Only 9/22 today. No eggs from the Easter eggers for the past two days. We'll have to search tomorrow to see if they're laying in the bushes somewhere.

Temp 96 F degrees with overcast sky's in the later part of the afternoon

5/15 hard shelled and in the house, 1/15 soft shelled broken under the roost(my second EE started laying yesterday, maybe a third?), and what looks like the yolk remnants of a broken egg in the nest box my guess is it was shell less perhaps a fourth EE?

This is an average day.

WHY? Why am I only getting just over 50% laying rate?

I have:
3 Buff Orpingtons (17 months)
2 Black Australorps (17 months)
4 Cuckoo Marans (17 months)
4 Rhode Islad Reds (17 months)
2 Black Australorps (13 months)
2 Australorp/RIR mix (11 months)
4 ISA browns (7 months, most (all?) laying)
4 Easter Eggers (6-7 months, all laying)

Plenty of food and water, about 330 sq' of room plus roosts and nesting boxes, pasture time in the evenings.....

Could having three roosters be the problem? (Planning to process one soon).

Yes, but probably not until spring. I don't want to have all of the problems maintaining temps when the outside temps are going crazy.
