I'm in agreement, I don't think the cartons would quite make it.

But thank you so much for thinking of me! I'm hoping a have more at home until I get a chance to set more eggs...lol!!

That is beyond cool, bull shopping that young! And yes it does, especially with the cost involved.
I've found two phenomenal breeders who are completely on par with our line of thinking, but I've got to readjust my ceiling price and realize it'll cost almost 10 grand for the bull we want.
Ouch. Heart attack time.

shepard was alerting quite loudly this morning in the yard.
Thankfully We only have 3/4 of an acre, that is our slice
of heaven and makes me admit no room for Bull here

Just gettin 6/9 but they are larger and seem richer color yolks. Since it's just the two of us that's plenty for the week.
I save the largest brown Rhode island eggs and when i get 1 1/2 doz then i boil'um for easy snack or dicing as needed.
I did rotate, sift and DE powder the sand/gravel run yesterday and was pleased how clean it had stayed, even with spring showers.
The flock seems well adjusted and i don't see any feather problems, feet are fine, and our roo...President IKE hasn't abused the gals. However, he gets an attitude when i enter the run.

I got 8 eggs out of 9 seven month old chickens. I think I have finally attached a type of egg to each chicken by catching them on the nest. It appears to be the Light Brahma that is still on Welfare.
