How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

7/13 count incomplete due to one fiesty broody Cochin. 3/4 one soft shell. 5 pullets, 3 Guinea and 9 quail that areally not old enough yet.And one new member was in the bator today.

With Ohio back to winter mode, 12/15 I am surprised to get that much since no one want to step out with snow blowing all over the run.

Gander how many days after hatch date should I wait before removing unhatched eggs? My first bator run. Read so much info lately I have overloaded my brain. Math, machinist techniques, incubator directions, quail info, guinea info. Good grief my head hurts.

Temp 72F degrees with a little rain and wind

we sure need the rain .





Look what the rain and wind uncovered this afternoon and the goose that produced this little mess only hatched last June so these eggs are only going to be good for feeding to the goslings

This little duckling is 1 of 3 eggs put into the incubator 13 March 2016 so that was something like 27 days so that is right on time .. The Papa is a Mallard the Momma a Kaki Campbell ..

Incase there is someone wondering yes I hatched out a duck egg in the same incubator I was hatching out chicken egg so the answer is yes them are chicken egg the duckling is resting on .

I was gone all day yesterday but I collected 11 this morning. 1 was warm so it was fresh.

I'm getting 3 eggs from 3 hens, almost every day. One dark brown and two light brown eggs.....Delicious.

Well, we left early Friday and were gone for the weekend. Got back an hour or so ago and have 16 eggs to show for the weekend. Some had yolk on them but I saw no shells.

14/15, it's snowing 20s and winds beating in the run, at least the coop is 10* warmer. Water stations all frozen.
