4/4 for three days in a row!!! My girls are egg making machines now that it is staying light longer. I have 6 pullets that will be 10 weeks coming up soon. I can keep all of the 6, juSt 4 max. Can't wait to have tons of eggs! My family eats them a lot. 4 hens produce enough to hold us through but I wanted extra to donate to loaves and fishes shelter.

Hi Gander, it looks like you have been away for a couple of days as well. I hope you were/are doing something fun! I took our 2 graduates to Branson, Missouri for a couple of days. We drove there on Monday, it was pouring rain. We swam & then tried to make an authentic German meal (couldn't find most of the key ingredients, so it didn't turn out too well). Tuesday we did the zipline, horseback trail ride, visited the Titanic museum, saw a Murder Mystery dinner show, and then went to see the Shanghai Acrobats. Wednesday we didn't have enough time to do anything other than pack. The girls don't like to get up early & we had to be out by 10 AM. We did stop back by the Titanic museum on our way out of town. My daughter had to be to work by 5 PM and we had a 3 + hour drive. Other than the fact that it rained every day & we were disappointed with the dinner show & the zipline and we would have liked to have another day or 2 to do more stuff, we had a good time.

My Mom is moving to a rehab center on Thursday. We don't know how many days she will be there, (seems like the insurance company gets to decide that!), but hopefully she will be there long enough to build back her strength!!
I collected 22 eggs today, but I know some of them were overlooked by my hubby while I was gone.

Got an egg from my girls today. Don't think it's from big momma as the eggs only small and hers are extra large size. Maybe I have a new layer lol

Temp I went to the VA Hospital Tuesday and got back Wednesday and it was cold and the light went out that was heating the just hatched chicks and I lost 4 so I have 1 left .
