How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 12 eggs today! My 2 broodies with chicks haven't started laying yet. The chicks from the first batch are 9 weeks old and she hasn't started laying again yet. Hopefully, she will soon. The other batch of chicks are only 3 weeks old.
I think our high temp was 80 degrees today. It feels very Fall like most days.

Thank you penny. Like I said it's been on going but this was the first time it was bad. I'll Leo and eye out for now and try to at least confirm which one it is.


Ran my totals for the week 50 eggs from 11 total with 1 molting. 7 eggs Perdana average with one day that I only got 3

I found the reason I am not finding any eggs as I was checking the chickens coop at noon and there were several egg shells on the floor and the four month old turkey were sucking them dry

Temp today was only 102F degrees

AMAZING!! When you chart each day of eggs, do you write which breed as well-if you can tell? I put leg band on each one when they lay so I can see who is or not yet and that helps. So far it's all been GC.

I just write it on the calendar in the kitchen. All of my pullets are golden comets, 24 1/2 weeks old. All of the eggs look pretty much the same. Here is this morning's catch.

Edited to give final count for the day-- an even 20 eggs!

Yesterday was 18!!! A full 18!!! Now one is cracked and a few were on the floor so are a bit dirty but I don't care! We've been getting 4-8 eggs most days between pullets and molt and now just finally got in the last three days 10, 9 and then 18 eggs! That's more than we've had in months it also ties I believe with our best number of last year. we'll see what today brings!

oh wow. Nice. Ours are light brown with white speckles, darker like yours or dark with brown speckles. Today is 3rd day straight of 3! So fxing this wk will be 3 a day then 4 or more a day. Mind you the laying pullets are 20wk now & 15 end up laying. Other 4 are no where near laying.
