Ended up with 10 today, 1 BA egg had severe break so we pitched that one.

12 eggs today, yup temp will drop to upper 30s by early morning here in NE Ohio and my 10 pullets are all still love

sleeping in the run.

5 from 5 hens, lost a hen a few days ago, she just didn't show up for coop close Have 2 batches of babies, 25 starting to flap their wings, and 42 still in the shell. So hopefully next year Ill be rolling in the eggs. Also have one pullet that should start laying early december.

Temps 93F degrees and calm winds .

I now have two hens sitting on two different nest

I hope you get good hatches from your 2 hens that are sitting! The buff orpington that was missing last night, was hanging around outside the coop this morning

The younger one that disappeared a few days has not been seen since, so I think it is officially a goner

The good news is that all of the chickens went in to the coop tonight except for 1 rooster, but I caught him and put him in as well.

8 eggs again tonight.

@karenerwin Sorry about the loss I have lost 4 recently 3 to a new broody just 6 months old
but sure she wants to be the other hard to say all incubator peeps
