7 inches of snow today, chickens staying under coop, had to shovel partial area of pen. Chickens ventured out. One ventured into unshoveled area and panicked, quickly flew back into cleared area. It's their first deep snow.

Momma duck gave up sitting on her nest after 32 days and none hatched

Coldest morning of the year yet 32 F degrees but day time temp's 72 F degrees with clear skys and light winds .
