They weren't all like that in the beginning. I had a few salty eggs

, soft shelled eggs

and some Franken eggs

,

This can happen in the beginning with some pullets, for mine it was 3 out of 5 that laid variations of these. 2 have laid beautiful eggs sense day one, like the egg next to the salty egg. All were beautiful after about a month. I still get a couple a month that are not perfect outside, not to that extreme, but still yummy inside. The eggs started out small at first for my Golden Comets. They are 10 1/2 months old. GC
