Yep the trail cam will tell you a lot . I will get up some photos once I get some I a happy with or proud of as of right now I am letting the ground harden up because I am driving the little car to save on gas or diesel and I haven't found anything large enough to need a truck . ..

One of the Easter Egger hens is building up a nest to start all over again and she is no longer letting her last summers baby bed down near her, funny girls .

Good luck on your hatches. You always seem to do well with them! Who do you think will have the better hatch rate, you or the EE hen?

Have to add the 5 eggs to 9 so 14 of 20 seems the easter egger and one
olive girl is not every day girls like my BR are.. appears the one that started laying of my own hatch
lays an almost white egg crossing Blue my f-1 cockerel think maybe was a black sex-link hen

Chicken eggs 9 one Molten Houdan egg went into the incubator

When I was out collecting eggs this evening I jump a bob cat I do believe we surprised each other and it turned an ran and all I could see at that point was the funny short twisted tail, I guess ill need to carry a shoot gun around regularly this coming spring as they need to feed their young

Goose egg 1 Ya she is now up to 4 eggs in her nest .

Temp mid 60's and windy and cloudy most of the day and now with out a moon all the critters are out pestering the live stock .

We've been getting great numbers but have had several broken eggs in past month...I tRy to catch and clean as fast as I find it to prevent eating, but this last one I failed:/ several found it before I did. I washed SLW face and beak as she had egg on it, others I just shewed off while I cleaned. How do I prevent this?

Broken eggs as in weak shells? Or broken eggs as in pecked and broken by the hen/hens?

5 from 10 today but that's and increase from yesterday's 3 & Monday's 2 my hens just started laying again since the weather has gotten warmer the 2 on the left are deformed are the ok to eat?
