How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Awesome!!!!! Wow that's a lot of eggs!
My total for today will be 0. It's ok though, maybe tomorrow :) (she laid her first egg ever on Tuesday!)(none since lol)

You got oyster shell for them available right? When some of mine started laying eggs they sometime had lots of soft ones that ended up broken didn't find them till later since they were on the corner floor covered by beddings, I thought at first they were not laying.

How funny some of these are documented at being started in the 1890's .

Looks like they just walked right up the hill and they all only go back 75 to 100 feet I had help to day from one of my younger brothers Allen and his wife checking out the property and they both seemed to have had a great time . I thank we are all going down to the China Lake Navel Weapons center for the Air Show tomorrow .

Oh my geese run each other out of the pool all the time it is all part of the hierarchy and the disruption of any fun is totally normal but for the most part they are a close nit community and always funny to watch as a lot of behaviors they have are almost human in nature and your gaggle sound normal . And your geese should have there own nest in the shade as well safe to them but they will always pick their own nesting spot anyway or that is what I have found .

My duck doesnt even make a nest. She just drops the egg where ever she happens to be standing! In 2015 she made a makeshift nest (for the first time) in our firepit and tried to hatch eggs....in the middle of winter! Needless to say, none hatched. She is coming out of a molt now and dropping wonky eggs anywhere she pleases again.

I built the new oyster feeder, but being 6-3 inches added another 18-inches to the height. They ask me at the feed store how many I wanted, I said 5-pounds, charged me $9.00 which seem fare. Went to unload, it was 50-pound sack. Linda & Morris Engledow are good friends. She told me she could tell that I no nothing about chickens.

. Yesterday was day 21 (that's when the 1 hatched. I am still (slightly) hopeful that more will hatch....
The 1 that did hatch, hatched out cleanly. Come on other eggs!! They are all from the same hen/ rooster combination. All laid in the same 10 day time frame.. Please hatch

At least a couple more so I don't have to go buy this 1 a couple of litter mates.
