My broody is down to 3 eggs (started with 11). I don't really think any of those will hatch either. When I get back from my son's house I will probably buy her a couple of chicks to slip under her. So she doesn't stay broody too long!

oh may go that way see if our friends at the feed store got any in could do my silkie that way too maybe get 5 there is 6 eggs under them

8 here main coop I do not know like me get the birds through broody a bit faster

2 EGGS TODAY!!!
Our first eggs out of our 4 girls! So exciting, my son has been checking the coop every day, and then today, his first day back to school...we get 2!!

Had been hearing the egg song for a few days, found 2 soft shells under the roosts Monday & Tuesday...then today we found these gems!

12 today. No issues. Marti who had the egg stuck to her vent feathers yesterday went into the nest box today. Yippee!

What’s happening with/to the eggs?

I believe that they are going bad and she is eating them! She was down to zero eggs the day we left for my son's house ( Wednesday). When we got home tonight, she is sitting on a new nest. I didn't look to see how many eggs she has because I will buy her a couple of chicks tomorrow to slip under her. I'll give whatever eggs she is sitting on to the other hen who went broody while we were gone (she currently has 4 eggs).
This seems to be the summer of the never ending broody hens!!

10 eggs today, plus however many the barred rock is sitting on.
Got my son's chicken coop completed and took him 3 chicks ( a couple of months old) and 3 older hens.
Don't know how many eggs there were yesterday as the chicken sitter did not tell me.
