Thank you! My new EE Maggie.... she’s gorgeous too...What a beautiful shade of blue! What kind of hen laid that gorgeous thing?
Your blue egg outshines mine by a mile. Mine are a much softer blue. I’m kind of jealous! But my 2 EEs are wonderful hens and I wouldn’t give them up.Thank you! My new EE Maggie.... she’s gorgeous too...View attachment 1919810

I’m so excited by this.. she just started laying.. I’m waiting on her two sisters to start and can’t wait to see what theirs will be... my first EE Kelly who is a year and a half lays a “greenish” color.. it’s in the front row.. but as time goes on it gets duller and turns like a clay color.. then she’ll take a break and when she starts again it’ll be greener again... I hope these won’t fade...Your blue egg outshines mine by a mile. Mine are a much softer blue. I’m kind of jealous! But my 2 EEs are wonderful hens and I wouldn’t give them up.
14 eggs today. All the brown layers laid so that’s nice to confirm. Only one EE and one leghorn took the day off.
However 2 late laid brown eggs were found on the sand floor with hairline cracks. The internal membranes were intact. So I’m guessing the eggs were pushed out of the nest box for some reason that I can’t guess at.
Thank you! She loves hugs tooYes, she's is!![]()
