My cochin and her three are now back in the little coop

0 eggs the past few days from the chickens, quail and ducks. it's winter here so I'll be thankful for the few dozen I still have remaining before they stopped.. gee I may have to make them stretch

Yeah that is a problem if you don't get chicks every spring so you can have some winter eggs. And if you DO get chicks every spring you'll have WAY too many hens in a few years.
I'll be freezing some come this fall (eggs, not hens).
