CAUGHT HER!!! It is my EE that started laying. She was on the nest before I left for work so I hung around until I got a hot bluish/green egg. Her eggs have gone from a pewee blue to large bluish/green now.

5 eggs, and 9 chicks hatched so far.

11 out of 16 today. I found a lightly spotted peewee egg this afternoon so one of my Welsummer pullets may have laid her first egg today. I don’t know for sure because I have three Marans in the same coop. One mystery solved and another begins.

3 more down the drain. At least we can keep the shells for the compost.

I always feed the eggs back to the chickens. It doesn't do them any harm. After all, you aren't eating the eggs because of the wormer you are feeding them, so if there are trace amounts of it in the eggs it is just going back to them.
