winter seems like a silly time to molt...dont they need those feathers for warmth?

the "hidden nest" had 2 more eggs in it today so I guess someones using it again!

They molt big feathers not the warm down feathers. Outer cloths not the long johns.

8 of 10 today. Always 2 or 4 slackers but never the same ones day to day. They totally scheme together to insure it takes 1.2 days to fill my cutsey egg cartons that hold ten eggs.They at so funny. I love my girls.
