The other is from my hen who started molting at the end of August, and finished up. So... Maybe I am done buying eggs ....?

Question: All my big girls are molting. Do I need to take saddles off the ones that have them? Will the saddles impede new feather growth?

I have 2 Wyandotte that didn’t take the wear and tear very well. 1 EE also showed signs of wear but she bounced back. The other 2 not so much. They needed their little chicken dresses. Ima sell them to my rooster guy but not sure if someone wants to buy a chicken with no feathers on their back.I would think the saddles would be painful during molting?
