How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 4 poopy eggs today! If Polly isn’t the first one on the roost at night she sleeps on the upended bale of straw where everyone has decided to lay their eggs.

I got 4. Two birds started laying this week. One on Sunday and one Monday. They got their cooped picked up and fresh leaves today to scrounge in.

I guess it's just that time of year. But man I don't like store bought eggs.

So far none yet.... but one of my ladies usually lays right before sunset. So maybe...

I can't eat store bought eggs, I think it's the antibiotics, they make me sick. BUT I have been saving eggs for Thanksgiving, have 2 dozen in the refrigerator so I can make pumpkin pies!

One today. I think I have 3 girls that are laying every other day or so. The other 6 or 12 depending if you count the 20 week old pullets are all freeloading.

May hit up the Amish road stand tomorrow and grab some eggs for my daughter, who will be home for the day! Usually I send her with a couple dozen…but we only have a handful…maybe I’ll grab 2 dozen, one for us!

None again today. I'd swear I heard one of my ladies snicker when I opened the nest boxes....
