How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

While several of mine are looking scruffy (silly molting pullets) I still got 10 today!

Not wasting time once the solstice hit!

5 eggs out of 12 hens. Not sure who is laying since I can’t catch everyone. I thought my silkie was laying but haven’t seen a smaller egg all week. One of my newly laying hens is laying a pinkish tan massive egg. I’d love to figure out who is responsible for those.

3 today! Mei is taking it easy again, which is fine with me. My mother-in-law sent them a chicken picnic table (“chicknic table”, I call it) for Christmas, and it’s so cute to watch them all perched on the “seats” eating cabbage together

Martha took a well-deserved day off so no blue egg today (though she sang egg songs when the others laid), both Eggers laid their pretty greens, plus 3 different shades of brown (not sure which of the 5 brown-egg-layers contributed). Almost half a dozen; thanks much, ladies!
