So far to day all I got was a fairy egg and a broken egg but it is early yet I usually don't get any eggs until the afternoon we shall see

Do you add anything to the egg shells to shine them up so nicely? It really brings out the speckles on them!

No, nothing added and not washed nor polished either. But I don't feed commercial layer feed.

I post eggs the next day often,
I do not pick them up till we close the coops at 9.

9 yesterday and 11 today but I suspect it was actually 12 since there was goo in the nesting box. No shell fragments though.
The Empress decided to go on A Great Adventure and jumped out of the coop when I was taking the eggs out of the nesting boxes. She usually just looks out but I suppose the grass looked too inviting. I let her graze for a bit since I was going to be close by transplanting the summer squash and watermelons. Her friends were none the wiser until I put her back in.

Six, but actually 7. There were remanants of another egg in the box. For the month so far we have been blessed with 73 eggs! The ladies are producing. We let them out tonight for an extended period. My bride got to witness the craziness at the dust spa. They have a place under a tree that they like to lay and roll around in. It is cute to watch.
