11 eggs today - oh wait! 12 ! Including the blue one this morning.

2 today, from Août and Juin.

I showed my thanks with turkey scraps and turnip greens. A feast was had by all!

My kiddos just want to attack the rabbits, and squirrels, and any wild bird that lands in their run.

Last year I found a few of my young pullets up a couple of the spruce trees trying to chase the squirrels and birds.

My girls had to stay inside for Thanksgiving Day -- we headed out at 2pm and were going to be gone for lock up -- only 6 eggs were laid. Surprised me haha but every time I went in there to pick any up before 2pm, oooh lawd they were yelling at me.

Today we will be back to normal free ranging - I always wait about 2.5 to 3 hours after dawn for a better chance at safety from crepuscular predators.

One egg yesterday. This morning there was a busted shell-less egg in the roost. I’m still not sure why their shells are so weird lately. They’re getting 17%layer feed and have access to oyster shell at all times.

Found an egg in the nest box around midday.
