Anyone know what kind of hen would lay a light pinkish colored egg.....she was a drop off so don't really know anything about her, very friendly probably a pet or kids project that got old.....anyway she has greenish/grey legs and the coloring of a dark EE....does an EE not have the ear muffs like Araucana or Americana? Not really sure of the difference? Thanks Geri

Looks like a mutt with an EE parent. And yes, hatchery EEs tend to have green legs, beards, and lay green eggs. But there are clean-faced, brown-laying exceptions so it's also possible this one came from a hatchery.

iv got 57 eggs in the last nine days there laying machines.

I have a much smaller flock, just three hens and a rooster, but they are also kicking 'utt.

3/3 today, 10 total in four days.
