I had a rooster last year keep attacking me. The first time he attacked, I was so shocked. Never been attacked by a chicken before. He came after me at least 6 times as I backed out of the chicken coop/yard with my empty pitcher. I used that to bat him off. I tried to work with him for two weeks (catching him and "showing him who was boss") but that didn't work. That was the first thing I ever killed with my bare hands before. Whew, that was traumatic. Gave him a proper burial although my friends thought I was nuts, I should have eaten him. Never processed a chicken before either or ate any of my chickens. Have two good roosters now thankfully.

12 eggs out of 18 hens that are laying right now.
