How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Pics
I guess I will have to let you know. I have only owned ducks since we moved to our farm 6 months ago, and this duck only has laid since Saturday.
Sounds like a plan. Actually, as soon as I saw your egg, I went straight to craigslist to looks for shine Cayuga. Luckily for my wife I couldn't find any.

😂😂 I am a sucker for egg color too. I didn’t choose the breeds of ducks that came with my farm but I think I am particularly partial to the Cayuga. My drake is gorgeous.

Color is similar today, still have streaks where something has scratched the color off. Also my other ducks egg shells are virtually indestructible but this one seems more fragile since there are some dings in it.

I had 3 eggs this morning found the first 2 fine didn't know the 3rd one was there till I stepped on it. I am going to have to bring my deep litter down some they are getting real good at hiding them.

At least it was fresh and not one that’s been there awhile

I find all these ‘holes’ in the bedding. They ar3 th3 exact size of an egg. Is that where they actually dug down to lay the egg, and then they move them? I know my Muscovies move theirs all over, since, when I was going to them go broody..they would move them on me to keep me away. We’re not letting anyone have duckies until spring. Just too darned cold here :(

Yes mine do that too, I assumed that they laid it and squashed it down with their big butts. But they could use their bills to dig...
