I agree with that as well, but predators could be an issue as the rooster helps keep them away. He could also be aggressive, but in my opinion, starting with an aggressive one is better because you learn how to handle them, but on the other hand, you might not enjoy having chickens as much because your rooster is mean. This would really only be a problem if you didn't know how to handle him and if you decide to keep him I can help you with that though he might stay mellow and not mean. I am the only one that can handle my rooster without an issue and he is a pretty mean fellow, but he fends of predators and i still love him
