We have 40 acres just right for our 50 or more birds!!!

We have 80 acres, but do most of our living on the five acres surrounding the house. The fenced yard is roughly an acre. The chickens main territory is an acre-plus; that includes the old garden.
Most of the farm we've returned to nature, with the exception of the pastures which we have leased to a neighbor for his cows to graze on.
When I add another coop in the spring it will also be in the old garden area, to keep it close to the house and easier for me to tend to the chickens. The chickens themselves are free to wander wherever they want on the farm.

I have just under 2 acres but it abuts wetlands and woods of about 200 acres. Unfortunately, since my property is only 150' wide I'd have to worry about the birds going onto the neighbors so they must stay in runs in my back yard.

We have seven acres BUT there are 4 houses, 6 car garage/ barn, a pole barn, and way too many sheds & lean-to's. We are totally surrounded by homes in developments-the only ones to have "farm" animals because my grandparents in-law purchased the property in the 1940's so we are "grandfathered" in. PHEW to smart relations!

I'm on 25 acres, and technically, they'd be frontyard chickens

My coops sit in front of the house (well, everything does, I put the house at the back of the property.) I also have frontyard cows and frontyard donkeys

Front yard, side yard, backyard, corn field, barnyard, pasture. Anywhere they want to roam on 10 acres. But they all get locked inside the barn every night.
