how much am i supposed to be feeding my chicks?

i have 29 chicks..ranging in age from 9-10 weeks to 4 weeks of age...well..i'm going through about 20 lbs of feed every 3-4 days...thay eat more than my Saint Bernards!!

..is this a normal amount of feed for them to consume?..or are mine just piggys?...their feeders are always full...do they need to have food out 24 hours a day?.....thanks, Wendy

they are enclosed...(well,..they were until just yesterday), in 2 seperate brooders...last night i moved my oldest 11 of them to the coop..once our rain clears up..they will be able to go outside in the pen(an 8x28 area) ....also,.. no other animals can get at the feed unless my goats are getting in the bag?

...how much should i be going through?....Wendy
