How much did you pay for your Thanksgiving Bird

I have been searching for a very large turkey for Thanksgiving and I wanted to buy one from a farm rather than the supermarket.
I went online to localharvest and the 30lb turkeys range in price from $100.00-$180.00 or something like that.
I know it takes time and money to raise and process turkeys but I was shocked at the price and disappointed that I wouldn't be able to get out of buying the supermarkets birds.
I had no idea they could cost that much. I wish I could find one of those heritage breeds at a farm around here that is affordable.

I just looked up the price at our local Turkey farm broad breasted white turkeys and they do run loose in a fenced field 2.25 a lb.

the cheapest store turkeys are .88/lb....that's what we're gonna have to go with. I wish I could raise some turkeys!!! Maybe when we get our full 1/2 acre fenced in....
