How much did you pay for your Thanksgiving Bird

I have called 7 farms around my state for pick up and not all of them are heritage and most of them are not organic and the cheapest, as I said in my post is $6.50 per lb. I also said in my post that they are for pick up not shipped. If you read what I actually posted
I stated that I called around the local and not so local farms in my state.........

For the last three years we've paid around $35-40 for a natural turkey. I wish there was a way to find one locally raised... but I haven't put effort into it yet.

That's Christmas food!

I have often done a standing rib with yorkshire pudding.

I agree, but if I'm paying 6.50 a lb for a Turkey, I could have 2 Christmas dinners, and skip the Turkey this year.

Did you already eat your turkey the mennonite lady processed?

I admit I didn't read every single post. I guess the only good thing about paying $6.50 to a local farmer is that your dollars go directly into your local economy and get recycled, instead of going to Tyson foods CEO on his Yacht in the Caribbean.
