How much do you pay for organic chicken feed?

If your store already carries Purina, see if they can get Organic Pride to come on the Purina truck. That's what my IFA did for me. They keep some in stock for me and don't charge me a special order fee for it.

I buy from a local small mill it is ALL natural feed and its 17% I get it for $8.25 for layer can't call it organic that I know of but they grow their own crops to mix it with. It does have the minerals that is required for protein and I have been really please with it

Also, no chemical herbicides and no GMO's. The "no GMO's" part is what drives many people these days to buy organic.
Ours eat commercial layer and lots of local conventionally grown grains from the mill - whatever is cleaned out of the auger which is usually oats, corn, barley, black oil sunflower seeds(boss) and sometimes wheat. They also totally free range so they don't eat much of the layer feed in the warm months.
I do finish our broilers on organic feed though. It just makes me feel better about feeding the chicken to my kids.
