How much do you sell your eggs for?

Prices vary wildly all over the country. If I were you I'd visit local farmer's markets to get a good idea of what prices folks in your area are used to paying.

Me... I paid nearly $8 a dozen to have eggs through molting season. Our egg consumption dropped quite a lot this winter!

Up in Toronto area the free range (NOT ORGANIC) eggs at walmart are $5.50+
In Vancouver they were $5.50-6 for free range (not organic) but I could get farm fresh (not organic) for $5.50 but I had to pick up from a neighbours house on a certain day (always a different day), once every two weeks. (a bit of a pita).

I see organic eggs going for $7 here.

$2/dozen. This is farm country and everyone has chickens. Eggs in the store are normally under $1 a dozen for white and $2-3 a dozen for cage free organic brown eggs depending on the time of year. Too many people with too many birds to try to get more or I would be sitting on my own eggs and I am way too heavy for that...
Same here.

I give my extras to friends & family, but a nearby friend sells hers for $3.50/dozen at a meat locker & $4 at the farmers market.

Depends on your local market...and your marketing skills.
I sell for 3.50 per a 24-27oz dozen.
Higher than some, lower than others.
My few customers(4-6) are happy to support me.
It covers all feed/bedding and most other supplies on an annual basis.

ETA: Better to start prices higher than lower,
you can always lower price or have a 'sale' or give a 'discount'.

I have never been able to sell many around here. I will not sell below $3/dozen & no one seems to want them even though all but the store brand are $3 or more. The store brand (not Walmart) is $1.99. I give away to family or use them all. Will not sell below that price, as I refuse to water down local prices for and encourage more people to sell for $2.

We're in the middle of Kansas and farm country and sell our pasture raised eggs (not organic) for $3/dozen. Our eggs are from a mixed flock and are all colors, but are also all sizes. My husband takes them to work and never has problems finding buyers. We could easily sell for more, but we make enough to pay for their feed and our customers are happy, so I'm content where we are.

Our local Craigslist has currently 16 ads for fresh farm eggs. All say $2. If I put in my ad $3, those other 15 sellers get more business now because we are in "Farm Country" & Tom, Dick and Harry are just up the road..
Not everybody lists on craigslist. So if 16 ads are on there, how many more are in my area selling eggs? 100's. The old expression comes into play when the market is FLOODED.. "A Dime A Dozen". Let's just hope it don't become literal..
